Business Analyst - Hybrid - Minneapolis, MN
Location: Hybrid - Downtown Minneapolis (3 days onsite, 2 remote; Monday and Thursday required)
Role Overview
This Business Analyst will play a foundational role in a growing Information Services organization undergoing a multi-year technology transformation. As the first dedicated BA on the team, you will partner closely with business leaders, program managers, and technical teams to modernize platforms, improve data and process flows, and support enterprise SaaS solutions.
This role is hands-on, highly collaborative, and well-suited for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, brings forward ideas, and is comfortable navigating ambiguity while building structure.
What You'll Do
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, and opportunities across core operational platforms
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional and technical requirements
- Serve as a connective layer between business users, internal technology teams, and external vendors
- Support analysis, configuration, testing, and rollout of SaaS platforms, with primary focus on Workday and Salesforce
- Document current-state and future-state processes, data flows, and system dependencies
- Evaluate how data is used today and help shape how it should evolve as platforms and architecture modernize
- Participate in system and user acceptance testing, ensuring solutions meet functional needs
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process redesign and operating model enhancements
- Engage in discussions around emerging technologies, including AI capabilities, and help business partners understand potential value and use cases
Technology & Platform Focus
- SaaS platforms including Workday and Salesforce
- Data and reporting environments supporting enterprise systems
- Cloud platforms in transition (current and future-state environments)
- Exposure to or interest in AI-enabled platform features is a plus
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar technology-focused role
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly understand complex systems and integrations
- Prior experience supporting or implementing SaaS platforms; Workday experience strongly preferred
- Ability to translate between business and technical audiences with clarity and confidence
- Experience working with data concepts, platforms, and system dependencies
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities
- Confident communicator who is transparent, open to learning, and willing to take measured risks
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence without authority
Nice to Have
- Experience working alongside Product Managers or Program Managers
- Familiarity with Salesforce or Workday AI capabilities
- Exposure to modern data platforms or cloud migrations
- Background in organizations undergoing IT or digital transformation

Compensation
- Competitive base salary between $100,000- $120,000
- Annual target bonus opportunity (up to 20%)
